About
MetaGames is a consultancy that creates & advises on gaming of all types. See my website for more details.
Prior to my current job, I worked for 10+ years in the video game industry (primarily steering game designs on all consoles) and have programming experience too. I’ve played board games for over 25 years, have over 350 games in my collection and attend Spiel in Essen every year.
I am currently creating a separate website/tool for the boardgaming community. Also, I’m always working on ideas for my own boardgames with the goal of releasing one myself sometime. More news about this on this blog in the Essen 2011 page as I go.
You can find me on BoardGameGeek.com as user Eisley.

Hi Mark,
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate the positive feedback. Writing game reviews in 140 characters from Essen was tough and it’s nice to be able to give games a bit more of a description now.
Thanks,
James.
